Grove Brand Package

I was asked to design a brand package for a concept company. I first began with studying letterforms and finding interesting forms within them and settled on working with the lowercase "g." I worked in organic elements and soon the name "Grove" came to me for the larger brand concept.

In theory, this company is a garden center that specializes in native plants. It would be a national franchise, and at each location, they sell plants native to that region. This concept stems from my passion of revitalizing natural environments through the use of native plants.

After the logo development, I worked in color, fonts, and illustration. Below is my process and mockups! A favorite moment of mine was making the logo out of dirt and finding a real earth worm to use; I did this project in January and visited four pet stores to find live earth worms. There was only one living worm in the tub I bought and I carefully placed it in the setting. I then tediously edited out all the white fertilizer beads in the photo since the soil I sourced was for my house plants.
